Prices

The starting price for interpretation is €57 per hour + 24 % VAT. For half an hour we charge €29 + 24 % VAT, and for interpretations exceeding 30 minutes we charge for the full hour.

 

Evening hours from 18:00 to 20:00 during the week are charged at a 15% increase and a 30% increase between 22:00 and 07:00.	Saturday interpretations have a 20% increase on standard prices between 06:00 and 18:00 and a 100% increase between 18:00 and 24:00.
Sundays and holidays are charged with an increase of 100%.	Travel costs are charged at 0.41 cents per kilometre from our office to the place of translation plus 24 %VAT.

 

Translations

The starting price for translation is €57 per page plus 24% VAT (one page = around 1560 characters, including spaces). The price of shorter translations is negotiated individually. In urgent cases there is a 25% extra charge for urgency, for example, if a short translation (1-3) pages is required within two days, or a longer translation (15-25 pages) is required back within a week. Extra charges are discussed separately.

Cancellation charges

We charge cancelled appointments for the agreed duration of interpreting if the appointment is cancelled the previous day after 12:00, on the same day that the interpreting was meant to take place, or if it is cancelled at the appointed location, or if the client does not show up at the agreed appointment.

The interpreter will wait for the client for 20 minutes after which he/she will negotiate with the person who ordered the service as to whether to wait for the client any longer. The interpreter will wait for the requested time if the person who ordered the interpreting service so wishes.

We charge 50% of the time we were requested in cases where the appointment is cancelled 2 calendar days before the interpretation is due to take place, or it is cancelled the previous day before 12:00. Any travel costs accumulated will be charged at the full rate.
